Why this tour
Bali is a surf island and the breaks are spread out. Having a car and a driver who reads the tide chart turns a lot of waiting into a lot of surfing.
Hour by hour
Hotel pickup
Early, because the wind is offshore in the morning.
Batu Bolong or Berawa beach, Canggu
Beginners take a two-hour lesson with a partner surf school (TODO(adi)). Experienced surfers paddle out; Adi watches the bags.
Breakfast in Canggu
Coffee and a smoothie bowl. Board hire returned or kept for the afternoon.
Optional second session at Balangan or Padang Padang (Bukit)
For intermediate and advanced surfers only. Adi checks tide and swell and picks the break.
Back at your hotel
Drop-off, or extend the day at the normal extra-hour rate.

Respect the line-up; locals have priority at the reef breaks. Beginners stay at the beach breaks.
If it rains
Rain does not stop surfing. Onshore wind or a flat forecast does; Adi checks the day before and suggests another tour if needed.
Questions about this tour
Which is the best month?
Dry season (May to September) has the most consistent swell on the west coast. Wet season is better for the east coast breaks like Keramas.
