Ubud is Adi’s home ground and the best base for the inland tours: the northern waterfalls, Mount Batur and the eastern temples are all shorter drives from here than from the beach. Pickup is at your hotel door. The centre has one-way streets and no parking, so for guesthouses down a footpath Adi will tell you the nearest meeting point.
